Hey all,
Has anyone had any honest success getting a Nuon (I'm specifically interested in the Samsung N-501 myself) to be a truly region-free DVD player?
I haven't had any luck with the "own remote" hack, and while the cute trick with the AIWA remote works as advertised, it will only enable the player to read and play NTSC DVDs, not PAL DVDs (which is pretty worthless to me, as that cuts out all of Europe and NZ/Australia, maybe more).
Has anyone had any success they can report? It would be nice if I could retire my long-suffering Apex, and make room in my AV rack for something else.
