Random Region??

Is it possible to make a unit appear in a random region? say i place 10 Regions around my map, Is their anyway i can make it create the unit at any 1 of them at complete random and also create a ping at the chosen region?

you could do it something like this
Trigger:
  • Untitled Trigger 001
    • Events
    • Conditions
    • Actions
      • Set IntegerVariable = (Random integer number between 1 and 10)
      • If (All Conditions are True) then do (Then Actions) else do (Else Actions)
        • If - Conditions
          • IntegerVariable Equal to 1
        • Then - Actions
          • Unit - Create 1 Footman for Player 1 (Red) at (Center of (Playable map area)) facing Default building facing degrees
          • Cinematic - Ping minimap for Player Group - Player 1 (Red) at (Center of (Playable map area)) for 1.00 seconds
        • Else - Actions
          • If (All Conditions are True) then do (Then Actions) else do (Else Actions)
            • If - Conditions
              • IntegerVariable Equal to 2
            • Then - Actions

I think those solutions are way to complicated and would suggest doing it like this:

set Region[6] = Region 006
set Region[7] = Region 007

set Temp_Point = Center of (Region[(Random integer number between 0 and 9)])
Unit - Create 1 Footman for Player 1 (Red) at Temp_Point facing Default building facing degrees
Cinematic - Ping minimap for Player Group - Player 1 (Red) at Temp_Point for 1.00 seconds
Custom Script: call RemoveLocation( udg_Temp_Point)

The method MPR suggested is inefficient.

If those Regions are permanent, well don't move. Just preset them at the beginning and grant a random number to select which one.
As jnZ has shown above with this line:
set Temp_Point = Center of (Region[(Random integer number between 0 and 9)])

nothing posted here was jass. all those are actions you can select in the GUI

GUI = Game user interface meaning no Jass, only World-editor commands. Go to "Triggers" and then just add the events, conditions and actions just like these guys said putting all the variables/regions to your corresponding regions.

Technically, GUI is for Graphical User Interface...
jnZ's suggestion should be doable in pure GUI (with no Jass), though.
