Self destroying map!

Hi, now it's time for me too ask for some more help.

I have met a "bug" that i can't understand. I work hard
with a map for some months and can play it with the editor,and it worked
the first weeks.
But when i start Wc 3 and tries too find. My computer can't
find it. Have sombody any idea why this is happening?

Have you tried doing a search through your computer for the file?

If you can find it on your computer then when you go to open the map with the editor make sure your looking in the correct place in the open map window.

Uhmm - if it is not on your computer anymore, you or someone who have been at your computer might have deleted it

No, it's not like that. This happend too many of my maps
and i made sure i placed it in the right foulder.
I CAN find it when im looking outside the game, but in
game i can't find it.

Make sure the file extension on your map is either .w3x or .w3m

ahhh - that might be bacause you are using a too long name - try to name it a short name - like dota does
Defense of the Ancienth v6.00=> DotAv6.00
often the game will not display the map if the name is too long.
(It is the name of the file you save into the folder, the ingame name doesnt matter)

if you are useing Vista or 7 add full unit control on maps inside folder

It may also not show up if the file size is too large (greater than the 8 MB limit), which would only happen if you import a lot of custom stuff.
