Shadow Like Spectre's Dagger?

anyone know how to create the shadow like spectre's dagger?

i just need a shadow like that, is it a custom model or what?

whoops my bad

spectre's dagger is pretty much a projectile that follows a target or goes in a straight depending how you use it. and while that projectile is moving( its a dagger ofc ) there is a shadow path that follows it. im looking for that shadow model

and shadow model would do

EDIT: it has to be a very very dark shadow though

The shadow looks like the boundary from the terrain editor.

As far as I know it's a custom model, the spell's called Spectral Dagger and does;

Throws a dagger, either towards a target point or at a target enemy hero, if it is target rather than a point, it will follow the unit until it hits it, if it is targeted on a point, it will go in a straight line. Deals 200 damage to any enemy it hits and slows movement speed by 18% for enemy units while on the 'shadow path' (which is the actual shadow model, it lasts for roughly 10 seconds after it is created and follows the dagger, when it hits a hero, that hero will create a path as well that follows it) and Spectre (the hero) will gain a 18% movement speed bonus while on the shadow path.

If it was a custom model, wouldn't it lag so badly? I mean, imagine dummies being created by the second 0.0

It creates dummies like every 75 distance or so, thus it is not lagging terribly.

Hmm, yeah maybe that's true. Explains why it lags terribly when spammed in WTF mode.

Don't use custom mode, is a dummy with shadow...

If you notice well... nevermore has a BIG shadow, cause icefrog just want it.

Create dummy with no model and increase shadow range

done.
