No. Take it in the Editor. Looks purtier. (You're thinking about WoW. That game has the feature.)

Since we can't use editing program, does it matter if the border is still there? Brush list, Start, Programs etc. I know you can remove most thing, but removing the brush list will make the screeny squeezed. And the Game View text in the top right corner neighter matter right?

Yes, it does. Because you don't need it. Just enable the fog and the sky, same result without the text.

Not always unfortunately.
Some doodads, like "bubbles" for example, show the all too known checkered cube in normal view.

You can disable the click helper in the Object Editor.
