TESH for NewGen

XP detects crashes of programs not even related to Microsoft. I just close those messages, ignore and carry on. "Do you want to send this error report to Microsoft?" - "NO! I freaking don't want to send this error report of FireFox/Photoshop/WarCraft3 to Microsoft! Go AWAY!"

Can't really "ignore and carry on" when it closes World Editor :p

Though, yeah, I just hit don't send, curse a lil, and carry on :)

Did reinstalling wc3 help (referring to your other thread) with this as well?
I really have no idea what could cause this and the fact System Restore fixed it makes it even more confising (system restoring restores essentially some system files and the registry, TESH has nothing to do with either of those).
The only thing that makes sense is that you had it installed twice or something.
GaLs, any chance you remember what was it you restored (what you installed after the date you restored your system to)?

JUST solved this problem. Reinstalling didn't help.

However, I was running a custom XP theme using WindowsBlinds and unloading it fixed my problem. I loved that theme too, but worldeditor is better :)

>>what you installed after the date you restored your system to
I installed window blinds 5 and installed Vista Mod from some website...Only

can i add functions to tesh? so that the system will recognize my functions, and give values when using those functions?

Yes, put your functions in a .j file and then put that file in the includes directory.

I, of course, love it. It's the best thing that happened to WE (after NewGen) :)

Btw, I'm from croatia :D:D

EDIT: Omg, those three last posts are a copy from wc3campaigns :p

Sfilip, it would be pleased that you would be able to release 0.8 that contains ALL of the bjs and natives...including those global such as bj_wantDestroyGroup or bj_mapInitialPlayeableArea ...

same here:longing for 0.8 and improved functionality.

Making it work with WindowsBlinds would make my week :p

EDIT: For all you people who can't live without their favorite theme (Probably only me? :p )
You can just go into WindowsBlinds (if your using it) and just have it not skin WorldEditor, works for me, now I get secksy desktop, and TESH ;-)

just started using this, and I must say, simply amazing

good thing we have people around like SFilip to make us things like this !

2 things, which kind of suck

when you pull up the menu wiht all the functions, you can't paste them to your code, and you cnanot really even read your code(aka have them both show together, since the one is always on top)

no custom function syntax, like JASSCraft :(

no custom function syntax, like JASSCraft :(

Put the custom functions you want implemented (.j file) in the "includes" folder.......

What do you mean? JASSCraft can have custom funcs

my problem is, if the function is too long, tesh only shows half of the function because some of it goes out of the screen...

that really annoys me, espescially functions that i havent known

Same thing with me :). Just open the function list window beside the code and check the parameters.

> you can't paste them to your code
Someone was actually using this in JassCraft? It annoyed me to no end when I double click on one and it pops up in my code all of a sudden...
Will add it I guess.

> since the one is always on top
This can be turned off in the options I believe.
But the whole point of it existing is so that you can have both active. My personal preference if keeping the function list above the code so that it covers the description box.

> no custom function syntax
OK, that's the last drop.
Next version will come with an annoying, flashing, "tip of the day" that will explain about the includes directory.

Another thing
  • Add a full list of manual for TESH in the next version.
  • Add in default button for those coloring setting, because sometimes i was testing those color and I dont know how to revert it back to original.
  • That function bug cannot be fixed? The one when minimizing the function window and it merge with trigger editor.

Thanks

guess I forgot to read the Read ME..... :(

> Add a full list of manual for TESH in the next version.
A manual? I think I'm too lazy to write one :p

> I dont know how to revert it back to original.
Delete or rename the Styles.ini file.

> That function bug cannot be fixed? The one when minimizing the function window and it merge with trigger editor.
Well it works fine, it's supposed to merge. But what doesn't is separation, that kind of messes up from reasons unknown to me.

>>A manual? I think I'm too lazy to write one:p
Then get someone and write for you :O

>>Delete or rename the Styles.ini file.
Whats that..?

News portal has been retired. Main page of site goes to Headline News forum now
  • The Helper The Helper:
I am working on getting access to the old news portal under a different URL for those that would rather use that for news before we get a different news view.

    Easily done

https://www.thehelper.net/pages/news/ is a link to the old news portal - i will integrate it into the interface somewhere when i figure it out

    Need to try something
  • Ghan Ghan:
    Hopefully this won't cause problems.
  • Ghan Ghan:
    Hmm
  • Ghan Ghan:
I have converted the Headline News forum to an Article type forum. It will now show the top 20 threads with more detail of each thread.
  • Ghan Ghan:
    See how we like that.
  • The Helper The Helper:
I do not see a way to go past the 1st page of posts on the forum though
  • The Helper The Helper:
It is OK though for the main page to open up on the forum in the view it was before. As long as the portal has its own URL so it can be viewed that way I do want to try it as a regular forum view for a while
  • Ghan Ghan:
Yeah I'm not sure what the deal is with the pagination.
  • Ghan Ghan:
It SHOULD be there so I think it might just be an artifact of having an older style.
  • Ghan Ghan:
I switched it to a "Standard" article forum. This will show the thread list like normal, but the threads themselves will have the first post set up above the rest of the "comments"
  • The Helper The Helper:
I don't really get that article forum but I think it is because I have never really seen it used on a multi post thread
  • Ghan Ghan:
RpNation makes more use of it right now as an example: https://www.rpnation.com/news/
