Using USMWE 5.0 on Windows 7 Seems to not work?

So i can use it but when I go to test the map it minimizes the WE and then a cmd box comes up then disspaers and nothing happens. Is there an unpdate I missed or something? Please Help!

I use windows 7 and I use newgen <which got USMWE> and no problem with test map

try running the game with compatible mode
(right click on the desktop warcraft icon and choose proproties
then press the compatibility tab...then choose compatible mode for XP)

What other extensions are you using? Is "Reinventing the craft" enabled?

I had to do a lot of work arounds to get my version to work on win 7 with reinventing the craft enabled. my advice to you is just to skip it.
