Warcraft freezes and ok, freezes and ok

What should i do when warcraft 3 always freezes for a coupla seconds and back to normal...its happening throughout the entire game...somebody please help. My system is
Celeron 1.7 Gig
ATI radeon 9200se
256 ddr ram

Does this happen on both Single-Player and Multi-Player mode?

Whilst playing the screen just freezes, and a few seconds later unfreezes continually. This makes the game unplayable coz half your units die before you can do anything. So basically unmicroable-unplayable.

If it's on multiplayer it's probably a lag problem.
