Hi

I want to learn JASS, now that I am starting my make more advanced maps and GUI will not allow me to do certain many things. I know BASIC programing languages and Flash Action Script so I think I can handle JASS.

I can not find a JASS editor anywhere. I found JASS syntax checkers. Is JASS something you write on notepad or something? I am terribly confused could someone please help me!!!

thank you

To use Jass all you need to do is go to Edit -> Convert to Custom Text in the trigger editor.
I also recommend downloading NewGen which has a built-in editor that appears once you convert.

One can generally use 1 of 3 things

1. Jasscraft, which is a third-party Editor, seperate of the World Editor itself.
Allows Syntax Highlighting, a must have, or your brain would implode.

or

2. TESH w/ Newgen Uses a modified parser to do many great things, and increase functionality.
TESH allows syntax highlighting, which saves your eyes, and your brain much trouble. All of which is built into the editor. (Also allows to break limits, and all those sexy things)

or

3. Be old school and write it out using normal World Editor by going Edit - Convert To Text, whilst in the Trigger Editor. No Syntax Highlighting :(

I'd recommend TESH w/ Newgen, as its all bundled up, ready to use, into a great editor.
