The mouse scroll only goes so far, if I recall. I'm wondering what trigger may give me an accurate zoom out. Those who play EotA (no my game has nothing to do with it except that it has leveling up heroes) would know what I mean by a zoom out.
Not in a cinematic sort of way--cinematics lag up the game and therefore I'm going to instead try to get one together in Flash (but not cartoony) and put it up on photobucket and link to it from my game.
Is it just me or does it seem today people are coming up with difficult ways to do simple things???
First of all, why can't you just make a camera that is scrolled out and when the part you want to scroll out comes, just switch to your camera over time so it zooms out.
Second of all, why can't you just import the movie into your map and use the trigger action "Play movie" instead of having to link to photobucket or whatever? (which I don't think you can do, might be wrong as I have never tried to connect to a web page through Warcraft III)
1.) First scroll out the camera, or if your scrolling godes to far where it cuts off the map, just go to Advanced>View entire map and scroll in to where you get the right thing. Then open the camera brush and do "Create new camera". After tha, make a region right in the middle of your camera's view and when the cinematic comes, use the Pan camera action to pan the camera to the region, then use the "Apply camera object timed" and that will set the camera making it seemingly scroll out.
2.) O ok, it just seems like today more people than not are doing simple things the hard way hehe.
Wow, that's sweet. It'd be great to use said cameras for an Assaulters map.
I.E. Two sides manned with simple soldiers. Each player controlling one and all only holding a large machine gun, you have to use strategy to win. I can imagine where you can have a control centre where a soldier can step on circles of power to look at various cameras to determine if anyone's entering. The perspective would be insanely cool.
I do know this - xenforo dropped the ball by not keeping the vbulletin reputation comments as a feature. The loss of the Reputation comments data when we switched to Xenforo really was the death knell for the site when it came to all the users that left. I know I missed it so much and I got way less interested in the site when that feature was gone and I run the site.
I'm on a page about incorrect corrections, and spent the better part of like two hours trying to get someone to understand that -5^2 = -25, not 25, and then that post had comments get reposted because that group is self sustaining, and that person was in turn trying to explain what I just explained to them. And I'm taking that as a victory
