In Cataclysm we can expect to see many changes to raiding and how it’s going to work. A couple of these changes will be very game-changing and effect many players, we’ll go over them in detail below.
Merging of 10 and 25 man raid IDs
In Cataclysm, your 10 man and 25 man raid IDs will be combined or shared, you can do either one but not both. The reason behind this is to remove the feel of needing to run both each week to get the maximum amount of badges or to get more loot. By combining the lock-outs, players will not be burned out as quickly and be able to actually enjoy the content longer. While running an instance twice a week might be fun for some players, many others get burned out quick. For those who enjoy running an instance multiple times a week, you could always do Alt runs.
