This is as far as I got:
I took out the model files and the .blp I needed from the war3x.mpq, Imported with a matching custom path (same path each file had on TFT), created a custom unit, changed its art model and icon to the ones I imported.
Thats where I'm having a problem, when I set the custom unit's model to the imported, the WE recognize the file (by its name and directory) and considers it as I picked the TFT model from the model list (I also tried choosing custom and giving the correct path but it gives the same result).
So I figured maybe if I change the name of the imported file it'll do the trick.. well I changed, WE accepted it but in-game the unit is invisible (tho I can see its icon on top left - i guess i forgot to mention its a hero).
