Call of Duty 2 graphics problems

Hey everyone, I have a problem with Call of Duty 2 (which I recently bought). In multiplayer mode, high quality textures work fine with 800x600. However, if I switch to 1024x768, I have a maximum of 30 fps, even when textures are set to low quality.
What is the problem here?

FYI:
AMD Athlon 64bit 3200+
1024MB of RAM
HIS Radeon X1300 Pro IceQ edition (256MB)

According to the 'Can You RUN It?' test, My PC's specs are well over recommended.

Cod2 usually have some problems with the rendering methods for me and my friends.

1. Have you patched it?
2. What windows do you use?
3. Have you setting the rendering method to directX 7?

Then try setting it to directX 7 and see if that works, you might also want to take away the anti-aliasing or vertical sync, they can also cause lag sometimes. Not that they should with that comp, but try it anyway just in case it works:thup:

Switching to DirectX 7 made my fps increase by 100. Thanks a lot
