Creating New Spells in WinMPQ?

I just tried creating my first custom spell for ROC using WinMPQ and editing all the Ability data,funcs, and strings

However wen i go into the game and tried testing it it doesnt work
When my hero presses the button to learn the spell, he doesn't learn it but a spell point is wasted. Also the spell still says Level 1 on it when I already wasted a spell point on it

What did i do wrong or where could i go to fix it??

To be able to edit stuff in RoC, you need to edit the MPQ or SLK files of Wacraft

You're funny. Deprotecting isn't supported, but MPQ is alright. I'd even add that if a user can prove it's not to steal a map, deprotecting doesn't cause much of a fuss in here.

Using MPQ to deprotect a map is unsupported by using MPQ to edit your MPQ files is supported.

Have you based your spell off of the spell "Channel" by any chance? If so make sure the values for DataC1, DataC2... etc are all set to Visible or if you're editting the .SLK files then the value should be 1

Im tryin to make a simple summon spell first
I've based my spell off Farseer - Spirit Wolf and have exactly the same values as it except with a different code and making it more summons than 2
But its all shitting up, spell points are being wasted when tryin to lvl the spell, it uses up the spell point but doesnt learn any spell
