Damaging and Healing chain lightning

I tried making a chain lighting spell that would damage enemies, but if the chain passes through a teammate the spell would heal them. I tried using this, but as you can tell im terrible with triggers and I'm sure this is way off.

The spell only heals if it passes through the caster.

Need more info! I dont even see the trigger healing anything XD. What is the base ability for Life and Death?

Its based off chain lighting, which can pass through both enemies and allies. It would damage enemies, but heal allies. Like I said im trash with triggers. Also the healing would come from the -9999 damage that I set seeing as negative damage would equal healing.

Awesome, that is exactly what I was looking for, but I have absolutley no experience with JASS and im clueless on how to replicate that.

Well, it has these things called globals which you can simply change to modify parts of the spell.

HOW TO IMPLEMENT:
1. Create a trigger
2. Convert it to custom text
3. Delete the text inside
4. Copy all the text here and copy it to the trigger you created
5. Copy the Dummy unit in this map
7. Copy the Ray of Disruption ability in this map
8. Copy the Ray of Disruption Effect ability in this map

It's written down in the Green Text box on the trigger itself.
