Detecting a number if even or odd

I used a dictionary to get "even" and "odd" terms. I am not sure they are true. Anyway:
Even numbers are the ones can be written like (2n)
Odd numbers are the ones can be written like (2n-1)
So here is my quetsion:

Is there a way to detect a number, if even or odd?

For that to work numberToBeTested has to be an integer.

Same goes for the ModuloInteger version. Besides it's only meaningful to talk about even and odd whole numbers.
