Disappearing Buffs

I created an ability with a buff, it's instant cast and it buffs yourself (the buff itself does nothing, but is used in triggers.) It works fine on my units but it wont work on my heroes. So i thought hmmmm, ill make it a dummy ability and trigger it so a dummy unit casts an ability which puts my buff onto the caster of the dummy ability, but again it works on my units but doesn't on my heroes, it never appears.

Is it a hero ability? if its not change

why don't you tell us what spell it is based off of?

Some spells by default can't target Heros... polymorph, charm, devour, etc.

hmm if it cant be cast on a hero try this and add the rest of ur trigger to it

U can change A ground unit to a flying unit, as long as it is not a hero.
and add your other actions to it. Maybe it will work.

The Buff i Use is Roar, and i know it can be cast on heroes.

Are you sure that the ability can target heroes? You might have changed it in the object editor. I can't think of any way it could not work on heroes unless you changed it or the heros have spell immunity.
