download stuff from phone?

Ok well it seems if my videos are more than 13 seconds long i cant message them to my email. So how do i download videos from my phone onto my computer?

Plug it in via USB or X to USB cord.

You get a cord, a USB cord that connects to your phone, just ask for assistance at the store, and then you plug it into your computer, and everything is really simply manageable after that.

I plugged it in and nothing happened, do i need to install drivers for it to show up under my computer?

Yes or software that is provided by your phone manufacturer. (Usually costs money)

Well i donwloaded the drivers, and it recognizes it. but it doesnt show under my computer as a connected thing.

Check under the settings of your phone and switch it to 'drive mode' or something similar.

Hmm I dont think i have that option. I have a Motorola KRZR k1m.

Or if it has bluetooth, you could use that.

yeah it does but im not sure how to use it. i get it set up and it searches but cant find my computer. How do i set my comp for bluetooth?

You need a bluetooth device to plug into the computer (unless it has it built in).

And as I said before, from your phone's manual:

cable connection
You can use a cable connection (see page 37)
to transfer files from a computer to a memory
card installed in your phone.
Note: When your phone is connected to a
computer, you can not access the memory
card through the phone.
Disconnect the cable from your phone, if it is
connected. Then, on your phone:
Find it: s >w Settings > Connection > USB Settings
1 With Default highlighted, press Change.
2 Scroll to USB Drive and press Select.
3 Press O to return to the home screen.
Connect the cable to your phone and to an
available USB port on your computer.


Not sure if it works without memory card. 2GB MicroSD cards are only ~$12 anyway, so get one if you don't already have one.

i think it only works with a memory card cause i dont see any options regarding usb and stuff.

well what type of phone is it?

most phones, yes they will have a software you download prior to plugging the phone in via usb. but a lot of the time all you need to do is open my computer and view what pops up in there. Either in "Mobile Device" or dDrive

He's tried those and has also given his phone's model. Read through the thread.

hmm the phone might still be on lock. making it unusable for the computer. Motorola does that
