I know people like team color but this skin I think would look better without it, and let the hero glow take care of the color part. The shiny red just throws off the whole rugged look.

How to remove hero glow? ?

No not hero glow the team color, which can be removed with the Alpha Channel. I say remove it on the shoulders and make it in less noticable areas, like maybe on his wrists.
But hero glow is removed in model editing, not skinning.

I don't see much of a difference, I guess though it doesn't really show unless you have him in the game. (BTW maybe some side angle pics of them both).

Overall Score: 8/10 Could be a bit more detailed.

You really need to change the pure-brown on his helmate, It needs shading. The horns on his helmate need it too.

The clothes Look kinda messy, and it looks like you couldn't would you brush strait so it made wiggly lines.

At least you were doing some freehand not just recolor, But it didnt come out too good... His hair color is kinda wierd too.
