Maybe I'm just a bit picky on this one,
but I'd like to show a different message in my multiboard, depending on whether a player left, or disconnected.

my question: can I actually distinguish between those two, or does the event "player left" include both?

Well, this wont complete your problem, but under advanced theres an gameplay interface, look under text and look for "You were disconneced' "change the text. Wont really help though.

hm, nope. it's about getting that message into my multiboard, so people know that a player disconnected and wasn't defeated.

awesome avatar, btw.

I think it includes both.

Never tested it though.

For the "defeated" part:
Player group - Add <player> to PlayersThatGotADefeat
Game - Defeat <player>

And, "a player leaves", if he is in the player group, he left because he got defeated.
If he isn't... well, there's no way to know if he disconnected, his comp rebooted or simply used "menu - exit"...

well, thanks Ace. That's a more than sufficient answer.
looks like I'll have to go without this subtle difference, and put all disconnectors under the same hat as the 'regular losers'
