Extra gold earned based on charges of item sold.

Need help with formula that gives X extra gold for n charges of the item sold. Here are some examples:

1 charge on item sold -> 0 extra gold
2 charges on item sold -> 5 extra gold
3 charges on item sold -> 5+10=15 extra gold
4 charges on item sold -> 5+10+15=30 extra gold
5 charges on item sold -> 5+10+15+20=50 extra gold
etc.

The result must contain the gold for the charge 5x(n-1) plus the gold for all the charges smaller than it. Example:

If the item has 3 charges, then it must sell for 5x(3-1)+5x(2-1)+5x(1-1) = X gold, where X = 15


I need the math formula for this.

EDIT: Already got it. 5x[(n^2-n)/2)]

Now I have to know how to put this in the trigger.

If I'm not wrong "Arithmetics" only allows for simple operations.

The gold has to be added to triggering player.

I started worldediting yesterday so if you also wanna provide a trigger I'll take a look at it but I'm quite good at GUI anyway.

this could be easily done if you're good at math, but i am not, xD.. haha hmm.. you can do it with the arithmetic, or you can have this:
add 5 x (0+(2 x number of charges) to player 1(red) current gold

That formula is wrong. :/
I think it should contain at least a square.

lol, I didn't say that that was the correct formula, I'm just giving you a different and more simpler formula.. haha.. xD

Or make a variable.

Trigger 1

Unit sells an item
Item sold = Your Item
Set Variable_X = Variable_X + 1

Trigger 2

Unit dies
Your Condition (if any)
Add 5 x Variable_X to owner of killing unit.

Something like that.

this is my trigger below, just change the last created item, to any variable you want.. O_O
Trigger:
  • Actions
    • Player - Add (5 x ((((Charges remaining in (Last created item)) x (Charges remaining in (Last created item))) - (Charges remaining in (Last created item))) / 2)) to Player 1 (Red) Current gold

For anyone thats interested, it's a quadratic sequence: 0, 5, 15, 30, 50
with the Formula Tn = 2.5x[(n^2) - n].
Now all you have to do, is check the number of charges on the item when it's sold, save it to a Integer "charges"
Then trigger the gold given to the player that sold the item.
Player - Add (2.5x[(n^2) - n]) to Selling player's Current Gold Where n is your number of charges charges.
