Seriously now, dude. This is not a DotA forum. You're better off visiting the official DotA forum than asking here.

If you have a trigger question, explain what the spell does.
If you're going to talk about others, explain what they do.

Don't talk about the map itself.
For example: "BUT OMFZZ SUPERBUFF IS IMBAA!!!"

I'll help a bit by explaining what the spell does.

Focus Fire.
Basically, you cast this spell on a unit, now both of you and the target get a buff.
As long as the buff remains, you have max attack speed IF you are attacking that same target.
If not, both buffs are removed.
While everything takes effect, ANY damage dealt BY YOU to the TARGET are reduced by some %.
After 10 attacks or duration is over, both buffs are removed.

The strange trick here is that, it uses the pseudo-evasion thingy (where you actually heals the damage instead of reducing it) BEFORE the damage is taken i.e. at the beginning of the attack.
My question (to add): How do they even know how much the damage is while it hasn't even been taken (and heal it)?

Damage detection registers damage before it's actually delt.
If you do things properly, you can heal damage before it's dealt.

My newest spell (Heroic Guard) does that.

If a unit has 5 HP, and takes 100 damage, it still isn't killed, as it is healed in time.

Maybe I worded it wrong, but Focus Fire heals the target unit at the beginning of the attack i.e. when the Hero raises his/her weapon.
The event 'Unit is Damaged' isn't fired by then, which means the variable 'Damage Taken' returns 0 (or nothing).
