Font\Text question

I was woundering if anyone could instruct me on how to make a custom font for adobe photoshop elements 5 or Corel paintshop pro (photo x2). Unless one way of making a font works for all.

Well there are programs out there that you just add .png or .gif files to a sorted list and it converts it to a font file type for you.

Here's an example of such program. http://www.fontlab.com/

I do not know if you can just use photoshop to create a font, but I doubt it.

As far as I can tell, that costs money. I get the idea, though, I should be searching for "font making tools" not "How to make a custom font for corel paintshot pro".

Fonts are for every program, you actually install them into the Windows .

And I doubt there are free programs for that.

Chances are there's an opensource or freeware font studio out there somewhere.

Meh, thats what it looks like.

Unless someone can find one they get to work that can use images as the letters (So I can scan in handwriting to make a font) I'm just calling it impossible and quitting.
