Little bit about my map
New footmen frenzy. Its a new look into footmen frenzy where heroes can be fun and work well. This map has loads of new features such as:
- Over 30 new heroes with custom and triggered abilities.
- Over 12 new creep and rebalanced old ones.
- Over 33 new items including some free ones, Tomes, Recipes and all.
- New AI so computers can play and single player can be fun too!.

Tips and Playstyle
In footmen elite you will find five taverns each filled with different heroes. You should see which heroes your enemies and allies pick to see which hero will be best suited to the game type. All players can type -repick within 60 secs to repick their hero, this will only work once.

Footmen frenzy is a team based game and you will need them to win. The two most important things to know is that your main base heals you and that the shop in the middle will regenerate your mana. There are two main ways to play footmen frenzy elite.
-Pick a hero and support your army-
This is the most used and usually most effective.
-Early Tech-
Dont pick a hero and just tech a race to have a more advanced and powerful army which can easily dominate the battlefield.

If you bought a hero the first thing you should look at is your spells.
All heroes have three basic spells and an ultimate. You CANT max all your spells as the max level is 18 so you need to choose now which will be best to counter or support your allies or enemies.
Most heroes can benefit from items footmen elite has six different shops, three at your base, two on the sides of you base and one in the middle the shops names usually tell you what kind of items they sell. Your units can be upgraded at your main base aswell as your tier which will spawn different units often at different spawn rates. The map also has two creep shops which sell units which can give you a huge edge over your enemies by simply buffing or debuffing you or your enemies.

Now that you know what is where and what it does its time to tell you how they can help you. Items give bonuses from damage to mana regeneration.
Tank heroes will tend to be strength based and will mainly buy items and not tech.
Hero killers are usually agility based and will also buy items rather than tech.
Intelligence heroes are the main techers and will usually only buy 1 or 2 items if any then tech.
Tanks:
-Tanks benefit mainly from armor and health increasing items and mana items are usually needed too.-
-Tanks will tend to attack bases filled with units to kill massed units and survive large amounts of damage.-
Hero Killers:
-Hero Killers will usually mass damage items and sometimes mana items.-
-They will hunt down heroes and kill them and retreat back avoiding units and massed heroes.-
Techers and Aoe heroes:
-Techers and Aoe heroes will focus on upgrading units and tiers rather than buying items.-
-Techers and Aoe heroes will focus an units but will often need their own units to back them up as they have low health.-
-They will also avoid hero killers and tanks which can kill their own units.-

CustomKeys Config file created for use with my map.


This file will set all spell hotkeys to ZXCV. To enable this file, save it in your default Warcraft III folder, then go to the options on the opening screen of Warcraft and choose 'Use Custom Keys'.

I have a Few Suggestions for you:

  • You should have a mulitboard instead of a leaderboard so that the info isn't always in they way
  • How many heroes a player has killed isn't important; ands they can see how many they've killed when they've quit anyway
  • You should try to make you're healng system work like the one in most other footy maps
  • Get rid of those randomly spawning healing items because there's no need or them
  • Make sure all the heroes' abilities are useful (e.g. Dino Din has scout birds which, in a footy map, is useless)
  • With the Tier Upgrade Tooltips, don't have all the stats of the units they spawn. Instead, Put them in a quest
  • Don't have so many item shops because you dont need them

add a custom hero mode. I found this makes it quite fun (more than the average footies).

1 - You should try to understand how it works and make it yourself so that you can easily change it if you want
2 - Do the Total Amount to kills and not just hero kills
3 - Don't Over-Exaggerate. I always thought it was a sufficiently fast healing system
4 - Instead of it being every 60 seconds, make it every 1 second or every 1/2 a second. If you can, get the AI to sell them rather than drop them
5 - I take your point. That's alright then.
6 - I just think that the tooltip is way too crowded, and that if u put it in the quests menu, then people can look at the info if they want to. And if your quest menu is already crowded, you should really trim it down because a quest menu in a footmen, if u think about it, shouldn't really be crowded
7 - I understand your point, but it's too much for a player to worry about, i mean, they'll be sitting there thinking "This item or that one?" while their army is getting killed. Know what I mean?

decent map hex ... i saw some bugs so i thought i'd mention it here..

the ninja rope bugs, when u cast it, another owl appeared and nothing happened, tiers still spawn units after they die , i witnessed this for taurens when i had them , and i killed a comp royal guards base and they still spawned after the death.. and simple dash brings units up cliffs, thats all i was able to see so far , ( only tested it once)

1) multiboards should never exist in footies, well thats my view..... Its a legal map hack and should be voided at all costs.. teams should be able to sneek into a base and battle out . not have a multi board giving away that something is going on.

2)same thing , multiboards blow for foots

3) i rather this type of healing that exists in hex's map.. it gets rid of the boring down time you see on other maps like 5.4 .. you literally have to wait a long time on those to get healed and i absolutely hate that, so again this heal system is great :)

4) if its an ai issue, shouldnt matter anyway.. this AI is just for messing around in single player anyway, unless you plan to make ai play in real games if players leave???? i'd much rather my ally just die, than have a feeding comp to be honest. it doesnt matter if even bill gates coded an AI , AI WILL ALWAYS BLOW and be abusable

6)tooltips fine

7) items fine .. your last point didn't make much sense, check footmen 5.4 for example. there are alot of items /recipes in there, and the public love that sort of stuff.

On 2nd Thoughts, INCINERATE is right - take out the multiboard stuff all together. I agree with him.

Incinerate, if you're hero is on low health, it can mean 2 things:
  1. That your army is dead and your hero has lost a lot of health in the fight. In this case, you're going to be waiting a while anyway for you're army to respawn
  2. If you're Hero is losing health but your army is substantial, then you probably aren't using your hero correctly

On that note, I still maintain that Hex should change the healing system.

As Incinerate said, AI is fine.

As I mentioned before, Tooltips are too big. They have too much info. I mean, by the time you've bloody well finished reading it, the enemy has already killed you; know what i'm saying?

The items are fine, I just think it's too many because i don't tend to use items. Personal Preference

You should also fix the visibility from the hero tavern area because it shows part of the enemy area.

Yea incin i actually saw that so i did fix it it was all naga and tier 4 bases.
I find healing like mine to be much better because you can quickly recover if you attacked and not all heroes are made to support armies.
Items - If you play the map a few times you will see that most of the items are from other footmen maps and you can quickly catch on with names and what it does.
DOTA has 1000000 items and recipes and i HATE this so i only added a few.

i could help you, but im only experienced with gui ,, but i can do basically anything with it , with enough trial and error that is lol :p , any jass /vjass in there?
