Google Chrome new tab page looking weird

Hi there, I don't know why but I don't imagine it's too hard to change. I just don't know how. The new tab page for my chrome browser is looking like the picture attached. How can I get it back to the page where it has the pictures of most visited sites and the apps (hopefully you know what I mean).

check for some installed extensions, or if some software changed your start page.

Click the wrench icon > settings > check "search" and see what search engine is enabled, then check "on startup" what is enabled there.

Thank you. I don't know what changed it but changing those 2 settings put things back to normal. Tyvm

Most probably a program you installed on your computer, when installing a program see for what you "agree" because often free software gives 3 "agree terms of service"
In which case you agree for the program itself, and for some other software (un-needed it is installing). So check only the important one and uncheck the others.
