Why can't my warcraft 3 load the maps on this site?

load as in open or play?
playing shouldn't be an issue but if you wanted to open them in the editor then the maps are probably protected

As inevit4ble said, most people protect their maps to prevent other people from opening it. You can't peek into DotA's map as an example

There is also the possibility that some of those maps used the return bug, which no longer works in the most recent versions of the game. It all depends on if you mean play or open with the editor.

Playing is an isue for me,I try to make a game in LAN,then instead of the game being made,it just backfires,sends me back to the menu.

Most likely the map is an older version, using an older version of Warcraft.
Like Darthfett said, it probably uses the return bug.

So what version do most of the maps here use?I found a lot of cools I want to try out with some friends,but I got mad because I couldn't use them,the day I started this thread was the day I got to the last straw.

Just look at the upload date on the map, then look at the different patch release dates, is the way I would go.
There's a list of patches, with the date they were released here.
