Hero choosing

Can someone help me with my Hero choosing system?

Let me explain:

-right now I have it that
*down arrow key = restate information
*Up arrow key = select current hero
* Left and right arrow key = Browse between heros

But I can easily move with the mose or down arrow key to anywhere I want but how can I stop that?

Hey,
I don't know if this works but how about setting the camera bounds so small that u cant move it anymore, or you could try making a trigger that makes the camera lock on an object or smth just dont have th trigger in my head right now:banghead:

If you cant get it to work right why not just change the keys? you could use the numlock keys 2,4,6,8 as they have arrows, or if numlock becomes an issue o l , and . would work too -

o - Repeat Information
l - Select Current Hero
, - <
. - >

Just making this suggestion because when all else fails, find an alternative that kinda looks the same

just do it like this

To bloodreaver
    Events
        Time - Every 0.01 seconds of game time
    Conditions
    Actions
        Camera - Apply (Current camera) for Player 1 (Red) over 1.00 seconds

u have to create a camera and where it should be and that u do where u create units.. (not object editor) then u will ahve to pick for each player that should ahve this locked camer.a..

yeah thats why i said if numpad is a problem you can also use the keys "o" "l" "," "." to achieve the same goal and still look like they fit the purpose they are intended for (being "," equal to "<" and "." equal to ">" )


and this is the actions you should be using in your triggers to avoid the mouse from moving the screen:

To lock the camera when hero selecting -
Camera - Lock camera target for Player 1 (Red) to Hero Selection Dummy 0018 <gen>, offset by (0.00, 0.00) using Default

To unlock the camera -
Camera - Reset camera for Player 1 (Red) to standard game-view over 0.00 seconds

Oh My God! I'm soooo close! The only problem IAlexN is that you have to press one of the keys to actually start the hero choosing! Can you help?

The hives server is to busy right now, so I'll update the theard as soon as I can. I'll let ya know when I've updated it.

Yea except you need to press the right or left arrow key to start it! How can I stop that?
