Hook Practice

Ever wanted to practice with Meat Hook for the Dota Allstars hero Pudge?

Well I know I did.

Ever since I first played with Pudge I fell in love with his art: hooking.

After a while that I've been practicing I became better and better with my hooking and I performed some nice hooks.

Now, I know some people have the same love as I had, but how to practice?

Well that's why I created this map.

There are 5 targets: Standing foe, moving slowly foe(250 ms), moving normally foe(310 ms), moving fast foe(410), and moving faster foe(522 ms)

There's a leaderboard that tells you how many you killed, and how many times you missed.

You can have the fog of war enabled or disabled.

I made that because a lot of times you'll need to hook some under-fog of war foes, so it's a challenge.

The big credit goes for emjlr3 for his meat hook script from Dota Heroes.

Well if you have a good eye you'll see this hook did hit.

If you have any idea for targets just post it here.

good work, but iirc, theres a hook practise map at the dota forums with alot more features (about 8 different modes, such as stationary obstacles which has treants standing around at random while target runs by, moving obstacles, hooking into fog through trees and a mode where the target has slightly randomized movements i.e. maintains same general direction [right to left] but will change his movement angle a bit)

But if you target them it will only go to that point, meaning if they move it will miss, so it's quite pointless to do that.

Targeting the unit you want to hook is the worst thing you can do.
My advice, never target the unit you want to hook, just click near it.
Because the hook has a certain radius, and if the unit moves a bit you still have a chance it'll hit.
