Here's the challenge I'm having:

Whenever you combine the Village Rough Dirt with the Ashenvale Grassy Dirt, you're supposed to get an image like this:

However, the problem is that on my map, I've been getting images like this:

As you can see, the bottom image has a bad transition while the top image has a smooth one, even though both use exactly the same tiles!

The difference between the two are that the top image uses Village for its BASE tileset (which the Rough Dirt is originally from), while the bottom image uses Cityscape as its base (importing the Village Rough Dirt). Both import the Ashenvale Grassy Dirt. My guess is the import of Village Rough Dirt is behind the discrepency here.

My question then is, how can I get the smooth transition of the top image without having to use the base Village tileset? Unfortunately I need the cliffs from Cityscape for my map, which switching to Village would prevent me from getting...

Never mind, I figured it out - it's the order of the tiles in your palette that determines which edges appear and which don't. It uses some kind of priority system (firstmost tiles will always be stacked underneath lastmost), and you can rearrange the order of the tiles in Modify Tileset.
