How does Wand of Mana Stealing work?

Simple question, hard answer. Tried it in a test game but I didn't get any mana at all.

Well I didn't tried but if it's stealing , if the target have no mana , maybe it won't work...

It's basically an instant Drain. If the target has less mana than the total amount, it will only transfer what mana the target has left.

It steals mana but not like Life and Mana Drain spell, by a second.

Its a simple:

IF unit has more than 0 mana
Steal maximum of X mana. I think X is 100, but this is adjustable.
IF unit has like 1 mana, it will steal 1 mana.

Its also instant gain/loss spell, so there is no "drain" effect.

Ah okey, thanks guys. I thought it was a fun ability which depended on the targets hp/mana or something.
