how to open .BAK files that WEU save?

I am curently working on a map and when i opened it with WEU "edit map" funcion, it saved a .bak of the map (that i know we can open with the editor just dont remember how) and now my map is messed up (cant open it anymore) and i need to open this .bak so can someone help me with this?

Why does no one awnser this simple question?!?! anyway... nevermind i think it will be faster to start over the whole map

I think you just have to change the BAK (back-up) extension to w3x

yeah, rename it from .BAK to .w3x
