Is this even possible?

I would like to make a spell that is a bit tricky. Basically the tool tip is:

"The caster transforms into the character it targets for so many seconds. "

This is basically only going to be the model of the target/color team/ and the playername. also make the unit nuetral. But the player can still control the unit when it is in disguise.

I basically explained it the best i could. The levels would be:
Lvl:1 : Last 1 min
Lvl:2 : Last 2 min
Lvl:3 : Last 2 min
Lvl:4 : Last 3 min

I'd say:

Make the casting unit invisible and invulnerable.
Create the target unit-type for neutral-passive.
Make it so that every time the casting unit issued an order, the neutral-passive unit is ordered this as well.

I'd say add the caster to a unit variable and replace it with unit-type of target unit of ability being cast (keeping hp and mana)

then remove any ability replacing unit has and add caster's abilities to him

after x seconds replace that unit with the unit-type you stored in the variable

I don't see any other way...
