for my rpg im giving dragons a spell called firebreath, which will cause heavy damage. but im going to make an item for the hero, to reduce the damage done by the spell. but i dont know how to so does anyone know how to?
make a trigger that detects when the spell is cast, maybe make some vars so that the game knows how much damage the spell did and not how much the units take, and then heal those units that are damaged by the spell by some amount(%)
If it's okay to just give the unit magic resistance, then just edit the item runed bracers. Otherwisesince it's heavy damage, I'd suggest giving very low damage to the spell, and if the target unit does not have the item, then you do further damage. Otherwise if you want to increase the health after the damage is done, the unit might already be dead.
I do know this - xenforo dropped the ball by not keeping the vbulletin reputation comments as a feature. The loss of the Reputation comments data when we switched to Xenforo really was the death knell for the site when it came to all the users that left. I know I missed it so much and I got way less interested in the site when that feature was gone and I run the site.
