JASS Newgen pack 1.5d

Hy, it might seem (or not) odd... but even i am map making for a few years, perfect myself and trying to learn as much as possible, now i think i can try Newgen. From what i heard it isn't all about JASS in the Newgen pack so i want it for all it's features, not just JASS.

Still i would have a few questions...

1)I see the latest version is 1.5d and i want to know if it would work properly on a world editor of version 1.26 (that is what i am using). I know i can try it myself but i would like to know from people's experience.

2)Is this pack useful in any type of map? (TD, RPG, campaign, Melee, etc)

3)What do you advice me to use at first, from the pack?

4)Should i experience on my own better than read all the tutorials that i can find? (i sincerely like to experience on my own, but i want your opinions)

2) Yes.
3) The pack just adds a lot of features. There's nothing to "do" first.
4) Tutorials on JNGP? Or WE'ing in general?

There's no real tutorials on JNGP.
It's just an add-on that helps with editing in general.

If you want to know all what it does, you could separately look up each of the things that it comes with:
Grimoire, JassHelper, PJass, Grim Extension Pack, TESH, Risc's Coloizer FINAL, and UMSWE.
They're, probably, all located over at wc3c, just use Google.
