my computers keyboard does not seem to be working (typing this with onscreen keyboard) b4 i restarted when i pressed 't' it would try shutdown, and pressin esc in firefox opened the 'find' thing.

i also think the comp was playing beeping sounds... but could have been another program.

any ideas? just a normal plugin keyboard, not wireless or usb...
ohh i also restarted and replugged the keyboard in no luck... the caps lk/number lk/other lights are all on wont turn off...

my hand hurts like hell now arhgggh.

What type of keyboard is it? Chances are, the keyboard is just shot. Mine used to do that kind of stuff when I ran PS/2 keyboards and would always have to buy new ones to fix it. I'd recommend getting a USB keyboard if possible.

normal ps/2 keyboards aren't hot swappable like usb ones, you might have broken it if you took it out or plugged it in while the computer was running

and i would not be surprised if the comp beeped during bios to indicate that there was no keyboard

i think you just need a new keyboard, but to be sure have you tried the keyboard in a different computer?

yep looks like its shot, had to borrow another one...

it was just some crappy PS/2 one, but its soo random how it just stopped. I pressed 't' and it tried to shutdown.

Also the beeping was not during bios, it was just b4 I did this post...

ahh thanks for the help.
