Looking For an easy map to make idea

I have been reading this website for a while and have decided to make my first game. I want something easy but not so simple its not fun. Any one have any ideas?

Make some kind of minigame, they generally don't take that much work and you can always use them again in other maps if necessary.

For your first map you should probably make a melee map. -A "normal" map, where there are players with bases and armies and a hero or three, with the goal to destroy each other.
That way you can experiment with the Object Editor and learn how to terrain, etc.
Then you can move on to triggers, in your next map.

well..I'll tell you how NOT to start- try to do somthing thathas never be done before.Try to make a simple AoS from the dota tamplete and learn the triggers.
perhaps you can make a mini-arena
or a version of footman that featyres new rases.
