Hi everyone!
Im new here, and i just started my first real map project (i tried to edit Pokemaul Ruby 6.6 just for experience with the World editor, and I managed to add some nice features, but i figured out it would be much more fun to make a map from the ground!)
This is my map layout sketch:
A typical 2vs2 or All vs All map i guess..
Small layout description:
- The numbers are starting locations (fixed spots)
- The grey area in the middle is unbuildable and this is where most battles are going to be (i guess)
- The brown areas are just platforms with variated Doodads and terrain on.
- The dark green areas are the player bases
- The light green areas are lumber
- The yellow areas will be explained later under the triggers.. (Got a pretty nice thing going on there)
- The orange starts are gold mines
Dont think i missed something, or did I?
Trigger Descriptions and functions:
- Anti Rush Function
- When a unit leaves its respective base, it will instantly be moved to the yellow location.
- For now i have the trigger disabler as when the player gets a total of 5000 gathered gold, but i plan to change it to a timer. (This is where i need a little help, will explain more future down)
- Income function
- Gives each player recieves 5 gold and 5 lumber each secound
- I plan to make a timer for this too, and start this income function after a certain amount of time into the game. ( I also need help with this timer)
- Tree Spawning function
- A tree will spawn every secound in each of the lumber areas
Planned functions, features and triggers:
- Custom hero system
- More levels and abilities (Need suggestions and help for this)
- Removing air units
- Bounty for killed units
- Need suggestions on more features and triggers (please give me a little tip on how you would have made that feature, or a link for a tutorial.)
What i need help with:
- Custom Hero system
- Suggestions and ideas
Updates:
- Added leaderboard for kills.
- Changed the Anti Rush disabler from Gathered gold to a timer. That means that i finally understood how Timer variables work, and i do not need help woth that any more!
- Added buildable goldmines and removed 4 of the 5 goldmines for each player..
