Im Heading off to college soon and im looking to get a laptop at the best price. Do you guys know nay place where i could pick one up for a good price? Recommendations is basically what im asking for. Thanks in advance.

There's not a single perfect notebook, but the choice is heavily influenced by the use you're going to make of it and what your cap is.

Some ideas:

• If you're going to watch a lot of movies, one of these widescreen notebooks are very nice.
• Are weight and battery lifetime a critical factor?
• Do you need more disk or more RAM? In case you can't get both
• Are you planning to run Windows only, or dual-boot Linux? Could you live with Vista preinstalled?
• ...
