Well depending on how Blizzard designed bnet, this program might make things slightly faster as it probably doesn't need a direct bnet connection that would burden the host. Apart from that clients in a battle.net game cannot possibly get better connectivity with the host than it already is (P2P, direct connection).

For the same reasons playing through hamachi can't be much faster than bnet either...
