If so, is this function also possible to use it in the way to fk up other players' computers by maliciously modifying the file information on a folder??
You mean if someone trys to hack a save? No you cant do that... Does this corrupt files? no... Its called a Game Cache, and i havent looked too far into it but i believe it is pretty limited, but if you do anything with it i suggest adding a "form of protection" by converting everything into it into integers then a real using a higher base than 9, ie X base 80 (possible to do) where you change the numbers 0-9 into 80 unique characters, making it impossible to read to the human eye, but put through a simple function, easy to convert into a normal integer
You can write text documents into someone's w3 folder (and i'm not even sure if you can read it back), but you can't run them through the editor, so you can't perform malicious code.
I do know this - xenforo dropped the ball by not keeping the vbulletin reputation comments as a feature. The loss of the Reputation comments data when we switched to Xenforo really was the death knell for the site when it came to all the users that left. I know I missed it so much and I got way less interested in the site when that feature was gone and I run the site.
I'm on a page about incorrect corrections, and spent the better part of like two hours trying to get someone to understand that -5^2 = -25, not 25, and then that post had comments get reposted because that group is self sustaining, and that person was in turn trying to explain what I just explained to them. And I'm taking that as a victory
