Problem with cd burner

Iv been having trouble with my cd burner since u upgrade to windows xp. I do not have the original cd for the program because it came with my computer and so i cant reinstal it... The program is Adaptec Easy cd burner 4 and Adaptec Direct CD. Anyone have any ideas and if not does anyone know of any good **FREE** cd burning program? Preferably with the Direct CD function

Can't Windows burn CDs on its own?

Yeah but it doesent have the direct cd funsiction... atleast no that i have found...

...Try Musicmatch Jukebox. You can burn without it's expensive privileges, but with a lot less speed (3-5 or so free burns with 4x speed that you'll get once those burns are gone. You can also go up 10x from that speed by getting Musicmatch Plus which costs some money).
