Quick question, if I call "set somearray[5] = X" and this is the first time any object in the array is called upon, are objects 1-4 initialized?

Variable array values are all independent of each other.
If you have an integer array, setting X[6] to a value will have no effect, whatsoever on X[5], X[1337] or X[8190].

Make all arrays the same? you could loop through em all
