why not add the
Code:
Animation - Change (Last created unit)'s size to (100.00%, 100.00%, 100.00%) of its original size

List of models which can be used as special effects:
•Waterfall
•Sun Well
•Lightning Bolt
•Shimmering Portal
•Fountain
•Wall Fountain
•Demon Storm
•Dust
•Power Generator (not very good)
•Flame Grate (not very good)
•Fire
•Fire Blue
•Eye of Sargeras
•Rising Water
•Rising Water Wide
•Trap Frost
•Trap Fire
•Smoke Smudge (not really worth it)
•Footprints Demonic
Feel free to make suggestions for this list.

whats with this? any model can be used to make a "Special Effect" if resized.

So if you resize a house, you could make a special effect out of it? I don't think so.

I don't know JASS :(

There are a few things that are needed in a tutorial to make it a tutorial :p

How too do nothing tutorial

Or, A better example:

How to make triggered spells.

Get into the map editor, make a spell, then trigger it.

Just becuase somthing isnt needed (This still teaches you what you must do to make it, nothing more is needed, they can learn themselves) doesn't mean you should leave it out, Is my point... :p

You have much to learn.. :p Just size it down and make it play its death animation. :D

Sandman is made out of bears, btw.

You have much to learn.
Last time I checked, most house-doodads don't have death animations.

Nah, I just need to re-read by posts and fix typos. That was a joke anyways.. :)

And that depends on what house your using. City houses\doodads might not, But I prefer to use other things for houses normaly.

have you looked at the cityscape houses (ussually ends in a prefix.)? you special effect lies there, resize it to something rediculosly small and kill it.

I don't know JASS :(

Code:
globals
		private constant string SMmodel="[B][U]units\\creeps\\GrizzlyBear\\GrizzlyBear.mdl[/U][/B]"

that 1 line should be easy enough to understand.

Added to the list

Well, since the code is in JASS, I didn't bother to look at it.

I think that in its current state, this tutorial is not very helpful. There were a few useful parts, such as scaling certain models very small to make cool effects, but this is too small a subject to really be considered a tutorial.

I think to really call this a tutorial, it should be broadened to more than just scaling size, like Cinematics in general, perhaps. This could all be explained in about 1 paragraph, but its been stretched out. Perhaps if you began to include more about cinematics such as cameras, speech dialog, and other common things in cinematics, it would become much more useful.

Yes, it would be more useful, but there are two problems with that:
  1. There are already many tutorials on cinematics in general.
  2. If I did that, it wouldn't be just about scaling size anymore, and that wouldn't fit the title.
