Shoutbox: Messages should be persistent for 2 days at max.

Before changing the forums to Xenforo, the Chatbox keeps the message for at least 1 day before completely erasing the messages. After that, I won't be able to read unread messages.

I'm not sure how messages are stored, but there's a common "trend" that messages aren't stored for more than 5 hours to less than 10 hours.

If the messages are to be kept for 2 days at max, I might be able to read what others have typed in the Shoutbox.

If there's a way to quote a person's message in the Shoutbox, and let them be notified, like how Stack Overflow works in the Chatrooms (A: "@tom_mai78101 blahblahblah", Me: I got notified!), then we can say this suggestion is an extension to this suggestion here for the Shoutbox.

I think if you're using the Chatbox for important communication, then you're doing it wrong.
