Spells that damage your own units

What targets has it to be in the targets allowed field to do this? If this is possible?

spells I'm trying to do is shockwave but doesn't work seem to work with either of the options(friend, allied, player units etc..)

Do you want it to hurt both friendly and enemy targets?
Either way, you could simply copy an appropriate list from another spell.
Roar buffs only your own units, Flame Strike damages both your and opponents.

aha didn't realize flame strike hit your own units- useful to know. Set the targets of that in shockwave but didn't work so I reckon it can't be possible. Anyway thanks for replies all.
