USB Headset Problems

I don't know why but recently my headset is not working. I can hear people talking but they cannot hear me. When I use ventrilo it just sounds like a bunch of air when I talk. Is it broken or what? I don't want to have to buy another one...

It could mean that your Microphone volume is all the way down or muted.
Goto Start > All Programs > Accessories > Entertainment > Volume Control
to change it

Is it line in? Because line in is very low.

Still just giving back a bunch of air.

No, you need to go to your recording settings. Go File>Properties>Recording and then click "Ok", as shown.

Make sure Microphone is the one checked when it comes up with the new options.

Also I don't think people can hear me while using my PS2 online. I said "can anyone hear me?" like 40 friggin times and no one said anything.

Hmm. If that's the case it might just be that you're mic is broken. Might just need to buy a new one.

A wire can either pulled out of its original place or could be damaged.
