This may sounds weird or strange... But, I actually installed Wotlk in my computer using a CD and I used a USB disk to import it to my other computer (who can't read CD but is better, graphically and can run WoW), the problem is that my USB disk is 2 Go and one file, Lichking.mpq, have a size bigger than 2 Go, so my question is, is there a way to cut the MPQ into 2 smaller MPQs, import them one by one, and then merge them again ?

Mpqs are already BZip2 (and maybe GZip) compressed, so it probably won't have much effect.

I once got the ideas of exporting some file from a MPQ to reduce it size. Import the "new" MPQ to the other comp, then import the extracted files and add them to the MPQ againt, throught, no MPQ program is capable of exporting/importing files inside a MPQ

how about split the lichking.mpq into multiple compressed files? You can achieve this using Winrar under the Wizard option....

it's a slow process but it works, roughly 30min

u should have 3 split files, put them in a single folder

Once it's transferred, only click one of the compressed file and drag the content outside.....simple



Winrar accepts bytes as input
1 GB = 1073741824 bytes
