Yes. Well it's kind of necessary now because at some point, around that age, they will figure some... things out, and find certain websites and not know what's going on.
And I don't think the age of consent is usually brought up as too big of a deal if both sides consent. I know several people who were sixteen when they got pregnant by people over 18, and I'm fairly certain that since they all are raising their kids none of them are being charged with statutory rape or child molestation.
Although... how do they define the difference? I watched that stupid To Catch A Predatory show a few times and they were always being charged with attempted child molestation or something right? Since the girl was supposed to be willing wouldn't it just be statutory rape?
