Have you tried burning some of the home brew games? Works if you have the N501.

So I've been playing a lot with burning discs for the Nuon this weekend.

First off, there is a whole list of games to be tried in the homebrew scene, and these directions helped me in getting started:

I started off burning Doom, and it worked!

Then I got the bootpack/boot loader working. Just awesome. Well, mostly. Yaroze Classics, Snakes, and Doom aren't loading with the bootloader. Blah. The rest do. Even included the game from 2014 Killminds there.

Here is another cool trick, regular releases for the Nuon can be copied into a DVD master image and reburned into a DVD-R! So this means that you can save your original and wear out a copy! This trick works for both the N5xx Nuons and worked on my Toshiba SD2300. Good stuff.
