Attachments in PMs

I just realised today that when you send a pm to somebody, the attachments button + menu isn't there in the top toolbar. Was this intentional...? Because I had to host some stuff on places like imageshack and mediafire instead of uploading it here...and it was slightly more time consuming.

Yes this was intentional.

If you could attach files in PMs, you could attach pretty much anything.
And without control...

Well, the plan was not to become an open exchange for illegal or worse files...
